Caterpillar Incorporated, previously known as Caterpillar Tractor Company, was founded in 1925 in the United States. Adverse effect on GDP of Pakistan due to importing machinery:-
Pakistan's construction industry is currently dependent on importing construction machinery as now, Pakistan does not manufacture construction machines. Due to importing these machines, Pakistan's GDP is getting affected adversely. Each passing year, Caterpillar's machines are costly, and the technology is also costly. That's why Pakistan's GDP is adversely affected. It has a significant impact on GDP every year, and the effect is adverse due to the import bill arising. The GDP is affected adversely because the technology that Pakistan imports from the USA are quite expensive. That's why it hurts Pakistan's GDP. Due to the implications of technology, Pakistan is in a budget deficit. For a year, GDP is still negative.

Pakistan should manufacture its machinery as it is slowly becoming a technologically advanced country to manufacture its machines. Although they would not be of excellent quality gradually, Pakistan would become a good machinery manufacturer.
Currently, Pakistan should keep importing machines from Caterpillar as presently, many projects are under construction and could not be stopped midway. Such as ARY Laguna, CPEC, Bahria town Karachi and Lahore, etc.
Use other companies' machinery, and the Pakistan construction industry is solely dependent on Caterpillar Construction Company. That company could even blackmail Pakistan into stopping the export of those machines; that's why Pakistan should use other companies' machinery.
Pakistan should increase exports because other countries give technology to Pakistan, which is millions of dollars. The same is the case with Caterpillar machinery. These machines are costly, so they have a significant adverse impact on Pakistan's GDP. Therefore, Pakistan's GDP would improve if our country concentrates more on exports.
Therefore, Pakistan should use the techniques mentioned above to manufacture its machines and improve its GDP. Pakistan should not be solely dependent on the Caterpillar company and should use its machinery.
